Hi all !

Since 2-3 days, i've a problem with the file dxcore.dll. Each time i start my PC (Windows 11), i've this message :

I tried to download a new file to replace this but i've a message that say me i don't have authorization to carry out the manipulation.

I try another manipulation with command prompt as administrator : "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" and "sfc /scannow" but nothing works because the analysis of the two functions does not go to the end.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Completely remove the current Nvidia device driver using the widely available free DDU utility, then restart your PC and go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturer's website to download and install their recommended version of the Nvidia device driver.

A slightly older version of that driver is more stable than the latest version.

Open the Photos app on your PC, is that working correctly, or is the same problem or a file system error appearing?

I can see photos and videos with Photos app but not with Windows Media.

Also, I just saw it, the dxcore.dll error message appear when i open Movie Maker but, it doesn't stop me from watching the videos.

    Hi,

I've deleted the Nvidia driver and reinstall it. Now, i don't have the error message anymore. However, i have a problem that appeared with this dxcore.dll problem and which persists: it is impossible for me to watch the videos that I have on my PC via Windows Media. As soon as I start a video, WM closes automatically. I have to use Media Player Classic (x64).
