Can NordVPN's Threat Protection work side-by-side with Defender?

Hi everyone and happy new year.

Having NordVPN's Threat Protection (both Web and File protection) fully ACTIVE, could it automatically disable Windows Defender? I ask that because I know that Defender is automatically disabled when another anti-virus is active on the system. But on the other side, NordVPN is not strictly an anti-virus: it's a VPN with some anti-virus features.

So, in sum, I'd need that NordVPN's Threat Protection works side-by-side with Windows Defender, i.e. without limiting Defender! Possible?

Yes, NordVPN's Threat Protection and Windows Defender can work side-by-side.

Despite the name "File protection" NordVPN's Threat Protection will not scan the files from your device, it will only "Scans files for malware during download". So the Windows Defender will not identify NordVPN's Threat Protection as a third-party antivirus and the NordVPN's Threat Protection will not affect the Windows Defender functionality.
