Issues with Easy Setting Box (ESB) on Samsung Odyssey G9

Hey Community,

I'm experiencing a bit of a hiccup with my Easy Setting Box (ESB) on my Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor. Maybe some of you have had similar experiences and can lend me a hand.

Everything runs smoothly when I initially start ESB. I can tweak all the settings, and it works like a charm. However, after a certain period, sometimes as quick as half an hour, I encounter an annoying issue. Suddenly, no pop-up windows appear on the screen, and I can't access them anymore. ESB continues running in the background, but interaction becomes impossible.

The only solution I've found so far is to completely close ESB and restart it. After doing that, everything works fine again. But constantly having to restart is quite frustrating.

Has anyone faced similar problems and perhaps found a solution? I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and any tips you might have to tackle this pesky problem.

Here are some additional details about my setup:

  • Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G9
  • The issue occurs after a certain period, sometimes quicker, sometimes after half an hour.

    According to your feedback, your computer is having some issues starting the Easy Setting Box (ESB).

    You can try the following methods to troubleshoot:

    1. System Repair
      • Search for CMD, find Command Prompt, and run it as an administrator.
      • Enter the following commands one by one, making sure to execute the next command only after the previous one is completed:
        • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
        • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
        • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
        • SFC /Scannow
      • After the scan is complete, check the scan information to see if any issues were detected and fixed.
    2. Clean Boot
      • A clean boot can help you determine if third-party software is causing the problem.
      • Here's how to do it:
        • Press Windows+R, enter msconfig.
        • Open System Configuration, select the General tab, and choose Selective startup.
        • Uncheck the load startup items.
        • Go to the Services tab, click Hide all Microsoft services at the bottom left, then click Disable all.
        • Click OK and restart your computer.
        • Check if the problem still occurs.
