Hello I wonder if anybody can help me with 2 issues i'm having. Problem one : this has been happening for a while my spacebar, enter, backspace, down and up arrow have not been working! By the way the left and right arrow keys are working but the up and down are not. Also it works again in a weird way i hold the space bar and either the up or down arrow key or both and they work! doesn't always work tho, and when i had winter break then it was working all month, I think since the laptop was horizontal and didn't go in my bag bcuz when i started to go to school again it did the same problem and in some classes i need my laptop to write stuff too and as i said they work when i hold the space down but when i turn it off and put in my bag making it vertical it stopped again and it hadn't even been 30 mins and the keys i mentioned stopped working and right now its the night and my laptop is horizontal so nothing wrong with my keys now but when i go to school tommorow and put my laptop in my bag making it vertical i bet it's gonna stop working and i'll have too do the thing i do to get it working again so if u could help me with that i'd be truly grateful. and for the second thing which actually happened like a couple minutes ago is that my fingerprint sensor stopped working, around now and i tried restarting windows explorer and thats the only thing i'll try till anyone thats a pro could help me, and my settings is acting weird bcuz when i went in to sign in options it just froze and it didn't open the tab so yeah as i said i'd be really happy if anybody could help me oh and + when i was eating a burrito in the afternoon some sause got on my fingerprint sensor but barley touched it bcuz it was on the side and i just swooped it off i dont think that much sause could do much damage but yeah if anybody see's this pls help.

    Hello, Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Thanks for your feedback, Based on your description, it sounds like you are having issues with the keyboard and fingerprint sensor.

From the symptoms you mentioned, it's very likely that you are experiencing a hardware problem with the keyboard itself. You can search for OSK, try to open the on-screen keyboard, and check if the arrow keys are working properly. If they are, then it means there is an issue with the keyboard itself.

As for the fingerprint sensor issue, please first go to the desktop, delete the fingerprints you have already recorded from the settings, and then re-register them to see if it works.

If none of the above solutions work, it's very likely that both of your devices have hardware issues. In this case, we suggest you contact the manufacturer of your laptop and ask them to provide warranty or repair services.

You can also try running the Windows Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to see if it can identify and fix any issues.

If these steps don't work, you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. I hope this helps!
