Hello,

I recently upgraded windows 10 to 11, and since then I have HUGE problem of RAM usage.

( I have 16Go physical RAM )

Software that CTD, chrome that display "out of memory". I used this PC on Win 10 for more that 4 years this NEVER HAPPENDED. but it happend every day on 11.

I check the task manager but it shows 50%-60% memory usage. even if the soft CTD and chrome is out of RAM.

So I checked the Memory part, and I saw that win 11 allocated 40Go of pagefiles (on my SSD btw ) !? and even with that I'm out of memory !? even if I'm """ONLY""" at 27/64Go.

weirdly enough I saw that whatever I do, the validated memory just keeps increasing. starting at 7-8Go after 30min 10Go, after few hours 20Go. but the system start to bug so I just restart.

can someone help me ?

Thank you.

PS : the first thing I did after the upgrade and the first timesss it happened I did a "clean" install, yes i did a RESET a reinstall ALL my PC ! but I still have the problem.

PPS : it was the last Update of ArmoryCrate ( Asus ) for laptop it as a memory leak multiple people had the same problem . I have unistalled it.

Memory Usage say i'm at 50% of my 16Go, but validated is waaayyyy over use.

PS : sorry for the screen, can't change the language of my PC.

Hi, Like I said, it was "Asus Framework 4" (from the lighting control of the LED) from Armory crate, it as a "known" memory leak ( multipile people have the same problem ). With the latest update on laptop.

After Uninstalling ArmoryCrate the problem is solved. but it's a needed soft for my PC so i'll try too rinstall it in hope it dosn't memory leak anymore.

needed for : Control of the Fn key + LED + my MOUSSE ! color of the screen, batterie performance, etc ...

The best bet would be a clean install using the latest boot USB created with the Media Creation tool.

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com) better than a reset.

When you clean install then boot from the new USB and select Language > Install now > Custom install. At custom install delete all partitions one at a time and with only unallocated space select next. Follow the onscreen prompts.

Be sure you have the latest drivers from the manufacturer for the system, or motherboard (if custom built) and check to see if there is a later bios.
