Hello everyone!

I'm not sure if I ask the question that is suitable with this topic..Actually I don't know exactly what issue that I've had.

I have taken the warranty this week, I just found that the keyboard light dosen't light up even F7 still work and show the signal "brightnes up" on the screen (my laptop is ASUS brand). Is this problem related to the keyboard lights, not the software? Thank you in advance !!!

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If F7 is the key for the keyboard backlight, and it is not working, try pressing Fn + F7, does that get the backlight working?

If it does, try pressing Fn + Esc to turn off the Function Lock so you can use F7 on its own again.

If that does not solve this, click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.

    Thanks for your answer!

The F7 key still works normally, when I press that key the screen still displays the notification "brightness up" like the photo below.

I inserted this screenshot of the réulting System information window below but look like there's no problem here. I think the problem is due to a problem with the light under the keyboard

The best option then is to contact Asus support, that functionality is not controlled by Windows, they may have a fix for your keyboard if there is not a hardware issue with the keyboard lights.

Download and re-install the 'Asus System Control System Interface' from this direct download link, then restart your laptop and check if the backlit keyboard is working.
