Hi, On Win 11, when right clicking on the app on Task bar, there is no option to Move.

There are Recent, Unpin, and Close. The other method using Win, Shift and Left arrow, does not work.

Hold Shift while you right-click the icon. Then, depending on your keyboard either the +/- or arrows will eventually move the window, it just may have to move it half a mile, so ride the line between patience and time wasting...

No holding Shift doesn't work on Win 11 to bring up the Move option.

As I said above, need to hover over the app on the taskbar and its small preview will appear above, right click on this to show the Move option.

Click Move and then press any arrow key once only, then simply move the mouse around as it will be tethered to the window and you should find it pretty easily.

I just want to point out that dlamy2 asked:

    "why?"

    and not:

"how do i find the window back".

This phenomena is known for over 10 years 😭

So: how do i tell Windows to NOT show windows on a screen location that i cannot see?

Hi, so with Windows 11, this rarely works. Why not just build an OS that doesn't have this issue. Lots of other companies figured this out already.

I can confirm that the shift + right click method does not work for the NordVPN. Simply, nothing happens. It does work for Firefox, but not for the window I actually need to move. Super frustrating.

What did work for me was alt + space. Then click move, and use the arrow keys to move the window where you need it, and left click. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! This should be the main answer to this question! Had a problem with NordPass, I'm not sure how are their apps different to not trigger some of the suggestions above, but since this one always works, I really can't recommend it enough.
