How do I uninstall NordVPN?

I recently installed NordVPN for a free trial about 3 days ago. The free trial ended, and I decided to uninstall NordVPN. I uninstalled the app from Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > NordVPN and clicked uninstall. It uninstalled successfully. In control panel, there was no NordVPN app to uninstall. I restarted my computer just to make sure it uninstalled. However, the NordVPN app launched when I logged in. I checked my file explorer for any NordVPN file, and there are none. NordVPN does not appear under apps in settings nor in control panel. There is no file location for it either. However, it is still running, and I can see it when I check notification settings, as there is an option for turning on or off NordVPN notifications. I have tried restarting my computer, but that did not help either.

Is this an access issue or a security issue? I don't want to a PC reset, as I will have to redownload all my apps.

How do I uninstall this program?

Hi SuhasK14, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

You may try using Autoruns for Windows to check if there are still leftovers from the VPN. Download and extract then run the Autoruns64.exe. Check the Logon and Scheduled Tasks tabs if NordVPN is still there then delete it.

The problem is with Windows not with the application.

When the application opened up on restart, I turned off the setting on the NordVPN application, so it doesn't do that anymore. I downloaded the autoruns for windows and found a leftover part from the VPN and deleted it. I restarted my computer after this. I checked my notification settings to see if the app still exists, and it does as there was an option to turn notifications on and off for NordVPN. There is no file location, start-up, or any other setting for this app to open, so right now it just exists on the pc unable to open.

Are you not able to find it using Autoruns? If that didn't really help, try to install it again and use this troubleshooter to uninstall the app
