So I use a HP EliteDesk 800 MiniPC. But the most annoying part about it? The HP Smart UAC pops up by itself. I don't know why this happened, but this happens all the time while I was working. I find this really annoying to me. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance!

I had the same issue. I fixed it by going to Services and finding HP Print Scan Doctor Service. it was disabled. So I set it to Automatic and started the service. Works fine now with no UAC pop up.

    Hi Daniel,

I'm Christine, an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I can see here that you would like to disable the HP Smart UAC to popup automatically. No worries, I'll do my best to help you.

May I know when did the issue start? Is there any changes made?

Which version of Windows are you using? (Please press Windows key+R and type winver and hit enter)

Please check and try to follow the steps below:

    1. Let's check if it can be disabled from Startup section

Please press CTRL SHIFT ESC to open task manager

And choose the Startup tab (If you are using Windows 10)

Click the 3 lines on the upper right corner of task manager and choose Startup apps (If you are using Windows 11)

Find the HP SMART from there and try to disable it.

Restart your device and check if the issue persists

    1. Found similar thread from HP Website and one of their employees answered the case, please check and follow the steps from the link below:

If the issue persists, please take screenshot of the popup and kindly post it here.

Will wait for your update. I'll be happy to assist you all the way until it's resolved.

    Thank you,

    Christine L
