Images I download and save as a jpeg now end up being in a jfif format. This started a week ago and in order to change them to jpeg I have to use MS Paint to open and convert them. Very annoying.
I would appreciate assistance with this please. Thank you.

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-10-saving-jpgs-downloaded-from-the-internet-as-jfifs Once again such a bad improvement that only costs me time to change the file extensions in the registry :-(

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Some websites use the JFIF file format by default rather than JPG files

When you download a file in JFIF format, you do not need to convert it, because a JFIF file is a JPG, you only need to change the file extension from JFIF to JPG

This is not the case for me. Can't see thumbails of jfif file nor can they be viewed when double-clicking on the jfif file
