Hey guys, i have a DELL laptop and I installed windows 11 on it like a year ago and it made my laptop worse. I wanna revert my system to windows 7 system. I've tried everything but nothing worked sadly, I even tried to make my laptop revert back to windows 10 but that option is closed. is there any chance I can make my laptop go back to windows 7 or windows 10?

in windows 11, whenever i want to play a game or use a browser. it made my laptop screen appear black at random times, it fades but sometimes it kind of just makes me lose all of my progress like for example if i have three tabs open at once, my screen turns black and few seconds or few minutes later. it kicks me out or won't let me open the browser that i was using, its a major problem to me.

    Hello, this is Emily.

Any chance your computer didn't meet Windows 11 requirement on the hardware side, and you bypassed them to install? That will definitely lead to performance issue.

Unfortunaely you won't be able to simply go back. At this point, you will have to perform a clean install. I wouldn't recommend Windows 7 at all snce that OS hasn't been supported for some years, so a lot of modem apps won't run anymore on Windows 7, and there's no security support either.

To perform a clean installation of Windows 10 using the Windows Media Creation Tool.

The following steps should be done on a working Windows computer:

Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's official website. https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...

Run the tool and select "Create installation media for another PC."

Choose your language, edition, and architecture (32 or 64-bit) and select "Next."

Choose "USB flash drive" as the media to use for the installation and select "Next."

Connect a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space to your computer.

Select the USB flash drive you want to use, and then select "Next."

The tool will then download the required files and create the installation media.

Now these steps will  be done on your problematic computer:

Go to the computer's BIOS boot menu to have it boot from the USB drive.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 10, making sure to choose "Custom install" and select the option to delete all existing partitions.

Once the installation is complete, you'll have a clean installation of Windows 10 on your computer.

If your laptop is win 11 compatible, then start off with this,

By default, win 11 update auto updates only critical win updates, and nothing else unless you have made the mistake of selecting the "Get latest updates" option, and if you have turn it off.

You obtain both Bios & Drivers updates from the PC Maker, there should be a shortcut on your system to that makers update utility, and no other source.

And after updating from Dell set bios to defaults and Pwr to balanced, to test
