Power settings crashing

When I try to open power settings in settings it crashes right after I do that. Might the issue be caused by any service I disabled or packages that I removed even though I think all of them were of apps

I am having the exact same issue, started today. I have been using windows 11 since it came out and this is the first major issue. It cannot be a coincidence that this starts happening to both of us at the same time. An update probably broke something.

Also, nothing that Raniel V mentioned fixed it.

EDIT: I fixed it by re-enabling the "Sensor Service" in services.msc. I am not sure how that got disabled to begin with.

Hi all, I am glad re-enabling the "Sensor Service" in services.msc worked for you.

I just checked and mine was already running. I clicked 'restart' just in case and I still have the same problem. I noticed "Sensor Data Service" and "Sensor Monitoring Service" were not running so I enabled these. But still have the same problem.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I have the "Power, Sleep, and Battery" settings close immediately, as well as "Check for Updates".

    Thanks

    nik

You sir are a hero! Thanks a million for figuring this out! I'm going to post this on every reddit forum / Microsoft form regarding this issue. You are the gift humanity doesn't deserve. And shame on all those losers who gave garbage advice and "help" on these forums that fixed absolutely nothing. Again, I hope you have a wonderful and blessed life. :) Much love.

    Hi Raniel,

I followed each one of your steps and executed each command as you wrote down and the settings app is still crashing when I click on Power & Battery settings.

    Regards,

    Natan
