Windows 11 OS Freezing Issue

About 6 months ago I migrated from Windows 10 64bit to Windows 11 64bit.

Upon successful migration, I have noticed issues that would constantly arise with this new OS.

One of the biggest issue's that I have noticed was the constant freezing I would get on my system. For example, I would be playing a game like Microsoft Flight Simulator or Call Of Duty Warzone III and all of the sudden everything would freeze and I would have to force shutdown my system and reboot it again several times. Even when I am just surfing the web, the system would freeze as well as leaving the computer idle for a few hours. This would never happen in my previous Windows 10 version. This happens a few times everyday.

From what I am observing, the temps on my overall components would never overheat and I am using a case, (Corsair 7000D) which provides ample amount of airflow. Also, whenever the system does freeze, most of the time my peripherals like my keyboard and mouse also become unresponsive.

The troubleshooting I've done is as follows:

  • Updated to the latest version of my BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 4702
  • Did a clean reboot of the system
  • Wiped everything from the hard drives
  • Running latest Windows updates and GPU drivers
  • Repasted and ensured CPU pins are not bent
  • Ensured RAM sticks are in correct dual channel slots
  • Ran a Windows 11 repair tool via the Windows 11 Disk Image ISO on Microsoft's website while still keeping all my programs, just overwriting the OS itself.

According to Event Viewer I would get the following errors:

  • Event 404, DeviceManagement-Enterprise-Diagnostics-Provider
  • Event 131, DeviceSetupManager

I've recently upgraded my graphics card from the 3070Ti Founders Edition to the XFX Radeon RX 7900xt and on my previous GPU I would still have these same freezing issue's.

My components are as follows:

  • CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X
  • GPU: XFX AMD Radeon RX 7900XT
  • PSU: ASUS ROG STRIX 1000W Gold
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB @ 3600MHz (Dual Channel)
  • Motherboard: ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero (Asus)
  • Hard Drive 1 (Main Windows Drive): Samsung 980 Pro M.2 (1 TB) NVME
  • Hard Drive 2: Samsung 980 Pro M.2 (2 TB)

Computer Peripherals:

  • Keyboard: Monsgeek M1W Wireless
  • Mouse: Glorious Core Model D Wireless

    Greetings,

Thank you for reaching out to me regarding my issue with my operating system.

About a day ago I installed the Windows 10 Image ISO from Microsoft and have reverted back to Windows 10 Home. Upon moving back to my previous OS, I have not since noticed any freezing or glitching of any kind so far.

I'll post once more if any other problems do arise.

    Thank you
