How to disable BitLocker on WIN11 or how to make it remember my recovery key?

After an authorized service repair, BitLocker asking for a recovery key on every restart of the system.

I have the key but I tired of entering it every time.

How to bypass that?

Lenovo is saying that this is nothing to do with them and a Windows issue.

I see people suggesting to disable the feature here, but I don't have such option on the page

Start > Settings > Update & Security > Device encryption > select Turn Off

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Recovery and backup

    "1. Press Windows, type Manage BitLocker;"

    You do realize that typing this just returns Bing search results, yes? It doesn't actually show any settings?

    I even went to Privacy & Security in settings, and there is nothing in there to manage BitLocker, either.

    However, if you go to Settings, and type "BitLocker" there, you will get "Device encryption." Form there, you can turn off BitLocker encryption.

    And I'm not an independent advisor, I'm just a person who actually looks at the screen when figuring this out.

    I have the same issue.

    Had to totally install windows 11. On new ssd.

    And takes less time to transfer datas to a new driver and format the locked one by bitlocker than hoping for this bunch of incompetents to give a fix.

    They don't even have any decent customer service. 😒

    Couldn't repair or reset my pc after missing drive in windows.

    All was locked by freaking bitlocker ofc.

    So yeah, also w11 keeps installing crappy drivers for my GPU. Causing issues. That is very annoying also.

    Wonder if we can sue them for the troubleshooting I had to go through and data loss and necessity to buy new hardwares to be able to have my pc back to work.

    There is no "manage bitlocker" option when searching under the start menu.

    There are only internet search options for bitlocker.

    Your info is out of date.

    Hello Sasha, how are you?

    I understand that you would like to remove BitLocker from your drive.

    You can access Windows Bitlocker Manager and with the key, disable it.

    1. Press Windows, type Manage BitLocker;
    2. It will appear in the search, click on it to open it;
    3. It will show your computer's disks and which encryption is enabled;
    4. Click Disable BitLocker on the desired disk;
    5. Proceed to the end to finish.

    Check if after restarting you are still asked for the key please.
