Hey thank you for responding but the problem is still happening. I was wondering if you could personally help me through quick assist ?
How do I fix this?
When I go into a Fortnite and press Fn and F11 to go to full screen my screen turns black for a second and my resolution changes. When I do it again the screen turns black and it goes back to the normal resolution but it’s not in full screen. I have contacted Microsoft support and they have fixed it before but now they seem to be unable to.
Specs: Ryzen 5 5600x,
Rtx 3060 12gb,
16 gb of ram 3200mhz,
B550m ds3h ac gigabyte.
Any idea how to fix it?

Unfortunately, I can't, but why keep the game in full-screen mode instead of Windows Fullscreen? Wouldn't that solve the problem?

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.
Open the Geforce experience go to the gear tab > games and applications and uncheck the automatic optimization option.
Then open Fortnite, switch to performance mode and put the window in full screen, save and close the game.
Open Fortnite again, change Render the way you like and put DX11 or performance mode and apply and that's it.
