Update Realtek LAN Driver.

Hello!

I've always had issues with the Realtek LAN drivers, but a fix for me was to always downgrade my driver to the default driver from 2015, the oldest one I can find in the driver list. None of the others work, and with every update I have to roll back the driver to that same 2015 version.

Windows 11 recently updated and now my internet feels extremely slow! I can't find any cause to it. It's not my network, it's not my provider. I have a suspicion it's the driver, as it's nearly a decade old. Is there anything I can do? I can't update the driver because the newer drivers literally don't work.... Would purchasing a separate network card solve this?

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Have you tried installing the latest driver provided by your computer/motherboard manufacturer?

If yes, can you send the link to the website that downloaded the driver?

Also, send a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

I await your reply. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.

That's frustrating for me too. (my laptop is "Asus Tuf A17 - FA706IH".)
and I had this problem for 4 years.
I noticed this problem pops up when you put your PC to sleep and the wifi driver has unusual behavior with it when it wakes up. so just shut down your PC completely to avoid any conflicts with it in the future, (it happens particularly for Mediatek wifi card users). ==== above is my personal opinion as I observed. ====

I had found a solution in a very strange way.
So the solution I found is -
I installed the CPU-z app and found the "driver update" option in the "About" tab of the app.
It redirects to https://www.driverscloud.com/en/my-drivers website and within it, you can find a manual installation client which can help you to update the driver manually using CPU-z
and that driver client detects driver versions. (it's not malicious, it's genuine - I scanned it using Bitdefender AV).

I downloaded the latest driver pack from there using cpu-z's online driver detection. Yes, you can update other genuine software or drivers too.
it is free of cost you just have to sign up to the "driverscloud" to download the client.

    It works 100% for me.
