they kept telling me that thay had been sending reports to my admin account and that my system was compromised i hung up twice and they called back each time i got thier phoe number it is 01635579756 is this legit

"Microsoft and other legitimate tech companies will never cold call you to tell you that there’s a problem with your device. Unless you contact us first, we won’t call you to offer tech support. Tech support agents will never need to ask you for your social security number or other unrelated personal information. If you get a call from someone offering unsolicited tech support, hang up on them."
i thought so but they keep calling back the caller claimed to be called "linda smyth" thick indian ancient kept insisting that they were from microsoft and said they would call back after 9
I had a similar call today. When I wouldn’t cooperate with the original caller I was passed to a supervisor. I was told my computer would be blocked if i didn’t do as requested and could only be unblocked by travelling to Reading. I still did not cooperate and the call ended with them telling me I was very stupid and a C**T
I've just had the same call (13.43 it was made today). It came from telephone number 0203 2722 528. Foreign accent but an English name. I knew it was a scam so I didn't give him any information and eventually when he wouldn't take 'no' for an answer, I hung up.
Just hang up on them.
