How to Erase a Windows 11 desktop computer for a new owner?

What is the best way to wipe and restore the computer to factory settings so its brand new for a new owner? I tried going to Reset this PC then select Remove Everything. I was unsure to select Cloud Download or Local Reinstall for Windows? I do not have a Windows reinstall disk or anything so I assume I need to select Cloud download? After selecting that it says current settings remove apps and files. Do not clean the drive.

I am confused why it is saying Do not clean the drive? As that is what I am wanting to do so the computer is clear of all my info and settings for the new owner?

Thanks for the help.

    Hi,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

The Cloud Download will download a fresh Windows Image to reinstall it. Local reinstall will reinstall the Image that is already on the computer.

The Reset > "Remove everything" option will remove the files and apps on the system partition, but if you have other partitions and/or drives, they will not be deleted.
