I am trying to factory reset a laptop that was given to me but not wiped. It was given to me by my husband. It used to be his ex girlfriends from many years ago. He doesnt know much about it. It wont let me access the BIOS setup info unless i know that admin password. I have tried the normal way to factory reset but it wont let me. So i downloaded the installation media thing and put it on a flashstick from my other laptop. It is supposed to pop up when the computer turns on but something in the BIOS Setup wont let it. I cant change anything when im in there because i dont have that admin password.

As far as I understand, you are unable to configure BIOS as it is password-protected. Is that correct? Or you do not know the administrator user password when you log into Windows?

To do so, first open the Command Prompt by searching for it. in the search bar
or by going to Start and typing in cmd. Once you have opened, the Command Prompt
Type in net user Followed by the name of the account. For which you need to know the
password. Hit enter and the password, you need will be shown to you.
