Since updating Windows 11 on my laptop, my Epson printer will not print, but laptop can find printer. Documents print from my mobile so I know it is not the printer. Drivers up to date on printer; no pending Windows updates.

Thank you for the information. We can try a few troubleshooting steps.

Let's start with checking the print spooler services:

    1. Open Windows Services by searching for "Services" in the Start menu.
    2. Locate the "Print Spooler" service.
    3. If it's stopped, right-click and select "Start".
    4. If it's already running, right-click and select "Restart".

Try printing again. If this doesn't work, let's try the next.

    1. Go to Windows Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> Printers & scanners.
    2. Click on your Epson printer.
    3. Select "Printer properties" and go to the "Ports" tab.
    4. Make sure the correct port is selected (often a USB port or its IP address if networked).

Let me know the outcome of these two troubleshooting options I provided.

I am so tired of going to use my Windows 11 machine only to find some innocent sounding upgrade has rendered one or more programs unusable. I thank you for the reminder that Linux is out there. I will switch.

I have the same problem with the Epson L3151. I'm sure it's the fault of one of the Windows 11 updates, but I don't know exactly which one. About 7-10 days ago everything was fine. I can't find update (KB5039211), but I have (KB5039212), although I can't uninstall it. The printer was recognized by the system, but nothing could be printed. I decided to reinstall the printer drivers. During the installation the printer is recognized but a proper connection cannot be established. Printing works via USB and Direct WiFi. The pronter and the router are fine. I tried from another laptop with Windows 10 and printing works.

It's ridiculous that some update suddenly breaks a well-functioning printer. Please help.

    Hi, thank you for responding.

Printer is Epson - s/ET-2720 Eco Tank.

In microsoft office, I select Print, then my printer is displayed and is indicated as "Ready". I then select print. Print queue says "printing", then the following is displayed. The printer is just over a year old.

I have to resort to using my mobile phone to print the documents I need which is very inconvenient, especially if someone else needs to print from the laptop and I'm not around. Therefore, I do not believe my printer is solely the problem.

Hello Andy, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I am here to help and provide assistance with any questions or concerns you may have.

To get started, what's the model of your Epson printer? When you try to print, what exactly happens (or doesn't happen)? Are there any error messages?
