My games on steam keep crashing after 5-10 mins of game play due to event ID 1000 in event viewer. How do I fix this?

This has been happening since Baldurs Gate 3 and now it's with Helldivers 2. I don't think it's a hardware issue since I have friends with lesser power rigs able to run both games. The event ID I get is similar every time as well.

I'm not tech savvy enough to figure out the issue and would much appreciate any help, thank you.

Have you tried any other game besides those two? This is happening to my husband after launching Helldivers 2. Now, when he loads up any game in his steam library, it crashes within 5-10 minutes. He has tried all "fixes" for helldivers2 to no avail.

I'd love to hear if your husband ever found a workaround for this - I have the EXACT same issue on a high-end PC

Does this happen only with your steam game?

    Try also running SFC

    1. Go to your Search Bar and type Command Prompt and click Run as Administrator from the pop up menu.
    2. From the command prompt window, run each of the following commands one by one. Execute after a process is completed by the prior commands:

    sfc /scannow

Please reboot/restart your computer after all commands are executed.

If this does not help, you may also try to contact Steam Support for this issue

Are there any other errors aside from the event?

I appreciate the help, I verified the files, my windows is update, and my driver is up to date. I launched the game and after 10 minutes the game crashed with the same issue. I'm not to sure where to go from here. Do you think it's Steam itself and I might need to uninstall/redownload Steam?
