I have it connected to my pc and it wont do anything i did what you said and still wont work.

My hard drive icon is sitting on my desktop but it is disabled, and I cannot remember the password to unlock the "padlock" . How do I find the password, or choose a new one, so that I can get into my external hard drive? I have a Mac computer by the way
