Good morning.

How can I update my existing WDDM 1.3 to WDDM 2.0?

I am working with a system with following specifications.

Version 22H2 (OS Build: 19045.3448

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3120M CPU@ 2.50GHz

Installed RAM: 6.00GB (5.88 GB usable

System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Please reply as soon as possible.

Guess why?

For example it is silly when Microsoft still uses "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" with WDDM 1.3 version in their latest Windows 11 (23H2) package, but tells others to purchase new hardware (GPU, notebooks) with support of WDDM 2.0 model and above.

and with the help of Microsoft, hardware vendors (GPU) do not want to meet WDDM 2.0 requirements for legacy hardware by updating their drivers, which is actually possible, but not profitable - and all this is called marketing.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

WDDM is set by the device driver on your graphics card, if your graphics card only supports WDDM 1.3 you cannot upgrade to version 2.0 because your graphics card does not support that.

Click your Start Button, then just type dxdiag and press Enter.

On the resulting DirectX utility, select the Display tab

Please provide a screenshot of that Display tab.
