Explain what you already tried, Actually, didn't try anything yet, recently Got A Dell Desktop, Preloaded with Win 10 Pro,The H.P Pavilion,that has lasted well, over10 years, older parts, however, just basically using for audio& video management, from a lot of external usb,HDD's,Win 10 home, already on P.C., originally came from H.P., with Win 8.1 installed, just unsure, the correct amount of Ram needed for Win 10 Pro?

2024-06-19T08:56:12+00:00 Hi Dave, thank you for theResponse, I bit the bullet,sort of speak, Dec.23,2023& bought A new Dell 7040 Optiplex Best Buy, I couldn't refuse, w, 16GB Ram& 64bit Win 10, Pro!, I definitely see the improvement&speed , will definitely burn that in to my memory for the future, thing are getting chaotic on using PC's, now A.I. this, software with A.I., I'm waiting forthe A.I. that will empty the dishwasher, or shovel the driveway.

But Dave, ho much ram will that machine TAKE? I'm have 4G and it's not enough for music recording/production. I want to buy as much as it will take before I order the RAM.

Thank you very much Dave, appreciate, the help, just didn't know what was needed for Pro to run peacefully, on A 13 yr .old machine,mostly it was my local Best buy, has Win 10 Pro for $50.00, & the machine physically is all there, for how long, don't know, like I'm sure myself & others are waiting to see what the Win 12 world will offer, with our new A.I. toy!, I'll have to check out this community more often, as I've been, on Windows since 1979, when it was still called MS-DOS,many decades later the quality is still here!
