Windows security hello pin set up

Can you tell us what is the error message or what is happening when you are setting up a Windows pin? Also, are you using a domain computer or network?

The normal way to Add or to Change PIN on Windows 10, is the following:

1. Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
2. Select Windows Hello PIN on the left.
3. Click the Add button to create a new PIN for your account, or the Change button to modify you PIN.

When I try to set up it shows me same page all the time even am unable to login with my Microsoft account.

If i want to use my account it’s only allowing me to login as a local not as a Microsoft account user.

setting>account>if I try to sign in with a Microsoft account instead then I. Need to login everytime with my email then I need to go through the process of set up pin and then I need to cancel then I will be allowed to access to do my work,my laptop details.

When I spoke to the customer support they say (sorry mam hello pin feature is not available on your surface-laptop model)

then why is showing me before you can start using windows hello,you have to set up a pin .Every time this message pops up befor it shows my username .

Thanks for the details. Is that the details provided by the Microsoft support team?

Also, can you tell us what surface device model do you have? If you are using a work pc or device or is connected to a work domain. Then your workplace could be blocking the option to create a windows pin.
