Support assist wouldn't scan and kept saying the same thing over and over again. tried to restart it, that didn't work so I tried what it told me to do. That was to uninstall it and reinstall it but now I have the supportassistinstaller file, but it won't work. all it does is open support assist and shuts down.

Yes, I did download the right one. When I go to open it, it pops up and starts to load but then closes. When I scan for new updates, it says that I already have a scan going.
Have you downloaded it from the Official link:

When you scan for new updates, what error message do you see?

I want to install it because it scans for updates pretty dang fast and lets me do the updates without all the hassle.
Hi Skyler,
I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.
May I know what Support Assistant are you referring to? Do you mean Dell Support Assistant? If it is, why do you want to install it? What issue does your computer face?
