Hi Daniel,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.
To burn a CD that can play on any CD player, you need to choose the Audio CD option in your burning software. This will convert your MP3, WMA, or other audio files into a format that is compatible with most CD players. You also need to use a blank CD-R disc, not a CD-RW disc, as some CD players may not recognize rewritable discs.
Here are the steps to burn an audio CD using Windows Media Player, which is a common software that comes with Windows:
- Open Windows Media Player.
- In the Player Library, select the Burn tab, select the Burn options button, and then select Audio CD.
- Insert a blank CD-R disc into your CD burner.
- Drag and drop the songs you want to burn from the Player Library to the Burn list on the right side of the Player.
- Arrange the songs in the order you want them to appear on the CD by dragging them up or down in the Burn list.
- When you are ready, click Start burn to begin the burning process.
