Cheryl, did you confirm if it is listed in your perssonal Microsoft account, or is this a business one? The contact method is quite different for personal and business.

If it is on the personal side, you can launch the Get Help app in your computer, type in search keyword, then next click on "contact support", answer a few more questions and you will be given the option to chat.

If it is business, you can go to https://admin.microsoft.com, sign in with your business credential, then click on Support on the left, then create a service request from there to get a call back.

However, have you tried uninstalling your Microsot 365, then restart the computer, and go to www.office.com, sign in, and click on Install Apps on the upper right to downoad the installer to reinstall? Most issues usually go away after a reinstall.

Hi Emily thanks for your response. I have been an active member forever. I can't seem to contact anyone via phone regarding this. In fact, my year is almost up. Do you have a phone contact you can share?

    Hello Cheryl, this is Emily.

Could that be that your Microsoft 365 subscription has expired? If you go to https://account.live.com sign into your Microsoft account, then click on Services & Susbcription, see if you currently have an active Microsoft 365 subscription? If not, then the desktop apps for Word will not work. The online version is free for everyone, and it doesn't require subscription, so that can be a possibility.

Let me know if that might be the case? If not, I need more specific information - what exactly is the behavior when you try to edit, create, etc.
