I've been looking for the folder Program Files so that I can install some plugins for a software I'm using but I can't find the folder and I know I haven't deleted it (I'm not sure I can either). I've used the searchbar, looked through all my folders where i should be, but no luck, what should I do?

    Hi!

The Program Files folder is a system folder in Windows that contains installed programs. It is not a standard folder that can be deleted or moved. If you are unable to find the folder, it is possible that it has been moved or renamed by another user on the system.

To find the Program Files folder, you can use the following steps:

    1. Open File Explorer by pressing the Windows key + E or by clicking on the File Explorer icon in the taskbar.
    2. In the address bar, type "C:\Program Files" (without quotes) and press Enter. This will open the Program Files folder.
    3. If you are still unable to find the folder, you can try searching for it using the built-in Windows search feature. To do this, press the Windows key + S to open the Start menu search bar, type "Program Files" (without quotes) in the search bar, and then press Enter. This will open the search results and display the Program Files folder.

Hello, I will support your problem as a support member.

I think the issue may be due to the settings for hidden folders.

Can you try the following steps?

    1. Open File Explorer by pressing the Windows key + E.
    2. Click on the "View" tab at the top of the window.
    3. In the "Show/hide" section, check the box next to "Hidden items". This will enable the display of hidden files and folders.
    4. Hidden files and folders will now be visible in File Explorer.

    Best regards,

    Yu

    Hi ,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Please go to File Explorer > This PC > Your System Drive which is usually C: > Users > Your user profile > Check all the folders inside it. Have you found it?
