I have a lenovo yoga slim 6 13ALC7.

AMD ryzen -5500U

RAM - 16gb

SSD -512 GB

This laptop is just 1 year old.

Still it is extremely slow compared to the likes of such a machine.

It loads things later.

Games lag or work at lower settings than it should and my machine doesn't feel and work according to the specs it has..

Pls someone help me to resolve this issue.

Generally what makes a PC slow is what is running on your PC (software), if there is too much running that will make your PC slow

If you have any utilities like a Registry cleaner or PC cleaner . . .etc. uninstall those form your PC

Turn off all unnecessary startup applications and processes:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

    Click on the Startup Tab

See any non-essential items are listed there

If so, select and click 'Disable'

    Close Task Manager

Click your Start Button, type msconfig and hit Enter

When the System Configuration dialog opens, click on the Services Tab

Very Important - check the box marked 'Hide Microsoft Services' so that you do not disable any Microsoft services.

In the remaining list, see any non-essential items are listed there, uncheck any you find

    Click Apply and OK

    Restart your PC

The slowness is not specifically associated to graphic heavy applications but is also common to all the functioning.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

Does your laptop only have integrated graphics with shared system RAM on the AMD processor, or is there a separate graphics card - open Device Manager - Display Adapters to check?

    2

Do you have a 3rd party anti-virus installed, that is the usual cause of a slow or lagging system?
