How can I find my windows 10 product key?

I researched a lot and tried a few different ways to find the my office product key but everytime I type it in it does not work. Is there anything I can do to make it work?

Hit the Windows + R key

When the box pops up, type in regedit

Follow this path:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

Click directly on the SoftwareProtectionPlatform folder, and look for BackupProductKeyDefailt

you will see xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

If you find your key and it does not work, the license isn't transferrable. Open a command line window as an administrator, and type in slmgr /dlv. A window will pop up, and if you see Product Key Channel: OEM, it isn't transferrable.

Where did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer

Or is Windows 10 based on a previous Windows 7 or 8 licence?
