The problem with creating a new account is the randomness of the problem. I can't wait that long without my current account. I also don't know what you are refering to - "to see if the function is normal". What "function", and what is "normal"?
why is my Logitech MX Master 3s disconnecting
Reandomly, my mouse stops working under W11 - I don't remember it doing that under W10.
Other than that it works fine.
To work around that I go to Task Manager and select "Switch user" and relogin. It starts working fine again till next time it stops.
Obviously, it isn't the mouse battery. I have reinstalled the mouse driver and logitech options.
What do I need to do to fix this?

Welcome to the Microsoft community.
The issue you're experiencing with your Logitech MX Master 3s mouse disconnecting randomly on Windows 11, while not occurring on Windows 10, could be due to a variety of factors. Since you've already ruled out the battery and reinstalled the mouse driver and Logitech Options software, here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Bluetooth Driver Update: Update your computer's Bluetooth driver. Sometimes, the issue might be with the Bluetooth driver rather than the mouse itself.
- USB Ports and Receiver: If you're using the Unifying Receiver, try plugging it into a different USB port. Prefer USB 2.0 ports over 3.0 for testing, as 3.0 can sometimes cause interference.
- Power Management Settings: Windows has a feature that turns off devices to save power. Go to Device Manager, find your Bluetooth and USB hubs, right-click, go to Properties > Power Management, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
- Logitech Options Settings: Check if there's an update for Logitech Options itself or reset settings within the software to default to see if a configuration might be causing the issue.
- Check on Another Device: If possible, test the mouse on another computer with Windows 11 to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the mouse or your computer setup.
- System File Checker (SFC): Run the System File Checker to repair corrupted Windows files. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type
sfc /scannowthen press Enter. - User Profile: Since switching users temporarily resolves the issue, it might be related to your user profile. Try creating a new user account and see if the problem persists there.
- Contact Logitech Support: If none of the above solutions work, consider reaching out to Logitech Support for assistance. They might have specific advice or firmware updates for the mouse.
If there is anything that is unclear or I can't understand your problem, please feel free to let me know.
Best regards

2024-02-15T17:03:37+00:00 Thanks for the reply
- I thought it is running with Unifying Receiver, but it is showing up as a BT device and is running BT.
- Both BT and UR are on USB2 ports
- I turned off power save for BT. Will have to wait to see if mouse goes off again. However, I wouldn't think it would power down while the mouse was active.
- LO seems to always be updating, and there was another update available as of last week to fix random crashes.
- Since it is so random, I don't have another W11 computer I would use long enough to find out.
- I have run SFC a number of times for other things and if bad files were found they were fixed.
- I am not changing profiles, just relogging into mine.
- Have tried to get a response from Logitech 2 or 3 times - still waiting.
Since I changed the power save and updated LO, if it does it again, I will get it onto the UR connection.
Thanks

Here are more detailed steps for creating a new test account:
The function just refers to: after you create a new test user, check whether the mouse can be used normally.
You can create a new local account by following the steps below and switch to the newly created account to see if the function is normal. Because this cannot be ruled out due to the wrong configuration. Visit****Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support****for more details.
- Create a local user account
- Select Start> Settings> Accountsand then select Family & other users. (In some versions of Windows you'll see Other users.)
- Next to Add other user, select Add account.
- Select I don't have this person's sign-in information, and on the next page, select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
- Enter a username, password, or password hint—or choose security questions—and then select Next.
- Change a local user account to an administrator account
- Select Start > Settings>Accounts.
- Under Family & other users, select the account owner name (you should see "Local account" below the name), then select Change account type.
- **Note:**If you choose an account that shows an email address or doesn't say "Local account", then you're giving administrator permissions to a Microsoft account, not a local account.
- Under Account type, select Administrator, and then select OK.
- Sign in with the new administrator account.
Note: If the new account is normal, please do not delete the old account before backing up the data of the old account to avoid any data loss.
Note: If the new account can install the feature normally, and you want to use the new account, then you need to understand that the user data in the old account (under the C:\user<your user name> directory) will not be synchronized To the new account, you can only restore the data as much as possible by copying all the data (files, folders) under the old account to the new user folder and replacing the files/folders under new user account, then there is no guarantee of 100% success, including your User data from some Windows apps and all third-party apps in the old account won't sync. So please proceed with caution.
We look forward to hearing back from you.
Best Regards
