How do I get my touch screen back?

Hello!

My computer is brand new (I got it two days ago), and the touch screen isn't working. When I was setting it up for the first time, the touch screen worked, but now it doesn't, and I'm not sure why. When I go in and view the "pen and touch" setting, it says that "no pen or touch input is available for display"- although I know that the computer's supposed to have a touch screen. I've also had a pop-up a couple of times that says that my computer "is optimised for touch screen" (or something around those lines) and tells me how to use touch screen gestures, but since the touch screen doesn't work, I can't. Obviously.

Does anyone have any idea how to get the touchscreen back?

Here's a screenshot of the pen and touch settings, if that helps?

    Hello :-},

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand that this is a computer that you only got two days ago, so if the device is eligible for exchange, I think the most important thing you should do at this point is to negotiate with the seller about whether you can exchange it, because this device is indeed having problems with your use.

If the seller refuses to replace the device, please go to the device Manager and verify that the touch screen of the device is disabled by following the instructions linked below:

Enable and disable your touchscreen in Windows - Microsoft Support

If it appears normally in the list, disable it and then try it again.

If the preceding operations do not work or you do not see the device name, visit the website of the manufacturer of the computer, download the touch screen driver that matches the device model, and install it again. After completing this operation, the touch screen function should return to normal.

However, if you still have no luck, you may need to send the device to the after-sales service for repair.

    Best regards,
