I've tried windows mobility center, the option isn't included there.
And no, I'm not asking how to press the Fn button while pressing the backlight key.
I want to know how to turn off led backlight on startup, and permanently if possible. Have tried looking for options in Bios, but couldn't find anything.

The keyboard backlight is controlled by the laptop-specific controller.You will not find an option for this on Windows. If you want to permanently disable it at the startup you should look it on the options on the BIOS or in a specific application from the laptop manufacturer for your device.
What is your laptop brand and model?
I searched for the UEFI/BIOS settings of this device and there is no option to permanently disable the keyboard backlight. Only change the keyboard backlight timeout.
Unfortunately, the only option available is to turn off the backlight manually every time.

Dell XS 13. can;t stand the backlight that comes on when I start to type. On a white keyboard it makes for no contrast and i can't see what is on each key
