how to unhide a file

my documents folder decided to become hidden for no aparent reason and its been causing lots of issues. now i finaly found my way into its propertys and the hidden box is checked and faded so i cant actualy un check it. any help is realy apreciated

    Hi, Cameron. I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

    You can use the Command Prompt to unhide the folder.

    1-Click on Start, search for Command Prompt

    2-Right-click on that and select "Run as Administrator"

    3-Paste this command and press Enter:

    attrib -h -r -s /s /d %USERPROFILE%\Documents

    4-Close the Command Prompt and check if you can access the Documents folder
