How do I discover and connect to my iphone hotspot over usb? There are no usb options in the connectivity menu. There was a screen that asked me what to do with my phone the first time i ever plugged it in, perhaps I hit the wrong thing and no matter what i do I can't figure out how to get that screen back short of reinstalling windows which i can't do right now.

Hi again Rodrigo. Thanks again for your help.

Installing itunes was not sufficient. Starting iTunes once and rebooting both devices wasn't enough either, and Phone Link didn't work.

I had to go into Settings>Bluetooth and Devices>Devices>Apple iPhone and hover my mouse over the device and it said the device was not finished setup so "connect to the internet". I had to connect to an unsecure wifi network to finish setting it up which I thought kind of defeated the purpose of connecting over USB for security lol.

As soon as I uninstalled itunes I was disconnected so I had to reinstall it via insecure wifi *and start iTunes once* and it worked again.

I don't think the "Phone Link" step was necessary as I was able to remove it from both devices after.

    Thx

Do you have iTunes installed on your computer? If not, install it, it will install the drivers needed to make the connection work properly.

    Hi Rodrigo.

Should "show as a cabled connection" where? I am importing pictures and videos to this Windows 11 laptop fine after allowing my winows laptop to access it. My iPhone says, "Your iPhone internet connection is being shared over USB."

Win11 Hardware and Connection properties shows Ethernet2, Wifi, LAC1, LAC2, Bluetooth, and Proxy Auto Detect is on.

I cant find anything useful to configure it in Advanced Internet Options or via "Apple Mobile Device USB Composite device" in the device manager. I already tried network reset.

    Thx for your help.

    Hi,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

Turn on the Personal Hotspot on the iPhone and connect the USB cable, select to trust the computer and the connection should show as a cabled connection on the computer.
