I’ve had this issue for a while not sure why everytime I use my laptop it keeps randomly disconnecting for about 5-10 seconds and then reconnects this happens about every 5-10 mins for no reason even though I have a stable connection. I’ve tried setting it from 2.5hz to 5hz still no difference.

RE: WIFI issue resolved soon after MS Copilot feature is disabled

I encountered the same issue around the same time. I always keep my windows with the latest micorosoft updates.
This wifi keep disconnecting and reconnecting issue started happening after I first enabled the copillot feature.
I was not aware that it was related to my wifi issue and keep resetting my router and start blaming my internet ISP.
After frustrating with the issues as I rely on my internet to work most of the time and I noticed that my mom using her Samsung tablet doesn't encounter the similar issue as I do, I start to suspect that it's the issue with Windows 11.
After googling and narrow down the issue with the copilot feature as some have the similar experiences out there. So I tried to disable the copilot feature, and the problem immediately disappears.
I can finish typing this paragraph and send it out without being interrupted by the issue means that the copilot feature is the culprit.

Hi I tried both of them the first one worked for a bit and then it stopped working later on then I tried the second option and still didn’t work. This has been happening for a while now I’d say about 4 months. This mainly happens when I’m playing games.

Hi Kapuwila. My name is Lester, and I am an Independent Advisor. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I'd be more than happy to assist you.

Have you installed any new software or updates recently? When was the last time it worked without any problems?

    1. Try restarting the Network Service

Press Windows + R, and type Services.msc then hit OK

Scroll down and look for Network Setup Service

Double-click it and change the startup type to Automatic and click "Start".

Go to the “Recovery” tab and Click the First Failure dropdown, then select Restart the Service.

    Click Apply then OK.

Restart your PC and then check.

    1. Manually Update your Wi-fi driver

Press Windows + X, then choose Device Manager.

    Expand the 'Network adapters' section.

    Locate your wireless driver.

Right-click on it and choose 'Update'.

Select 'Browse my computer for driver software'.

Choose 'Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer'.

Pick an older driver from the list and click 'Next'.

I hope this information is helpful. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions. Thank you

If your WiFi adapter is disconnecting and then re-connecting, it's probably due to interference from nearby networks.

If it would disconnect and remain disconnected, then there's a problem with your network setup. But if it reconnects, then there's probably nothing wrong with your network, and it's more likely to be interference.

You are more likely to have interference on the 2.4 GHz band, because so many other devices also operate on that frequency band, like Bluetooth devices or baby monitors. You'll have less chance of interference on the 5 GHz band because (1) I'm not personally aware of any other devices, besides WiFi networking, that operates in the 5 GHz band; and (2) there are many more available channels in the 5 GHz band.

If you're still suffering from interference on the less-crowded 5 GHz frequency band, try switching to a different channel. (Channels are like slices of a frequency band.) Hopefully you can find a less crowded channel.

Another source of interference is physical barriers inside your home, like thick walls and metal filing cases, that can bounce WiFi signals all over the place. But try different channels first, because that's easier to adjust.

Thank you for the update. Please try performing a clean boot to see if the issue persists in that state.

A "clean boot" starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

If the issue is not occurring there, scroll down the Microsoft article and look for 'How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot,' and follow the suggested steps to fix the issue. Thank you.
