Turbotax business 2023 will not save my tax file. I get Error 102348.

TurboTax 2023 Business gives me error 102348 when trying to save my tax file. It appeared I didn't have write permission to save the file in the location. The read only option was set on the file folder (at least the box was checked in the folder properties). I can't get that read only indicator to stay unset. I have attempted to change the attribute using file explorer. I have gone to my USER directory and attempted to change the attribute on C:\user\MY\Folders on that folder and subfolders.

Nothing seems to change.

    Had the same problem. The cause is Windows Security prevents apps from changing your hard drive contents (malware protection). Solution, if you trust TurboTax (I don't really, but I don't think I have a choice here...) you can give TT folder permission.

    Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection > Manage Settings > Controlled folder access > Allow an app through Controlled folder access > Add an allowed app > {select TurboTax}

    Hello, Jay Richardson

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

    Thank you for your feedback. Your issue looks like this could be a folder permission setting issue. Try the following steps to fix it:

    1. Use administrator privileges: Try running TurboTax with administrator privileges to ensure the program has enough permissions to save the file. Right-click on the TurboTax shortcut and select "Run as administrator".
    2. Check folder permissions: Right-click on the folder, select "Properties", and then click the "Security" tab. Make sure your user account has write access. If not, click the "Edit" button to add your user account and give it full control.
    3. Try saving the file to another location, such as your desktop or another folder, to see if the same error still occurs.

    If none of the above resolves the issue, you may want to contact TurboTax's technical support team, who may be able to provide more specific assistance and solutions.

    Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I haven't explained something clearly.

    Best Regards,
