Speakers making either popping sounds or electric static (like when disconnected) windows 11

Hi,

So I've upgraded to win 11 lately. Had no problem in windows 10.
This is a lenovo LOQ 15 new laptop. Didn't have a problem before in the short time i've ran win 10.

It's connected to a speaker system, receiver outputing to 2 big speakers.

Now, shortly after getting windows 11, weird popping and static sound - static similar to when I disconnect the speaker from an output and leave the cable outside (not input).
It comes and goes. Randomly. Happens alot with sleep mode. Canceled sleep mode now, only using screen turn off.

My observations:
* Speakers show up as headphones in device manager\sounds.

* No audio glitches when connected to my t.v, phone . Same set up.
* Seems to happen alot more when the system is idle. playing sounds make it go away.

I know it sounds impossible that windows 11 code SUCKS and if bad, glitching, lousy at handover, not thoroughly tested or in any way Faulty... I know it seems so impossible... but it it TRUE!
This Update to the new version is bad. Terrible. Hissy. No matter how many fresh reloads you do of Windows itself, drivers for chipsets, ME drivers, Complete wipe the DRIVE INSTALL, fresh drivers freshly downloaded this crappy update buzzes and pops on my 6 thousand dollar Denon receiver and 4 thousand dollar KEF speakers that worked PERFECTLY 1 month ago and before.
So... as impossible as it sounds..... maybe there is a way to get the actual makers of this hissing mess to fix it instead of the same tired "try this" method of fresh installs of everything over and over and over and then you give up and close the thread.
MS code is the problem. Now what?
Every single suggestion is not a solution , just a new set of hissing WIN11 23h2 no help blah blah blah. Will the hiss be fixed or do I go full APPLE?

My new windows 11 laptop had popping from the internal speakers. The 2nd set of fixes from the YouTube video below fixed it for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRCcSUZl4HI

    Hello,

Thank you for using Microsoft products and posting to the community.

Are you connecting the speakers to the laptop via 3.5 mm jacks? If so, this is normal behavior, as the Realtek chip turns off relevant circuit when there is nothing playing, resulting in current sounds and background noise; they may not be noticable on a headphone, but could be noticable when amplified by the speakers.

Please open the Realtek control panel, and disable automatic jack detection. Please notice that there are several versions of such control panels with different options available so the exact steps differ. If the issue still persists, it may be caused by the Realtek chip not shielded completely (since such output is normally used for headsets); in that case, I recommend you to contact Lenovi for further assistance.

As a workaround, you can also try connecting the speakers using USB or Bluetooth (which uses digital signals, which are not affected). If there is no such option, you can also try using an external sound card or amplifier.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

    Best Regards,

OK so after playing with the drivers and doing various tips from YouTube, posts on this Microsoft forum and just some help websites,(cancel audio enchantments, changing the drivers, deleting nahimic and it's drivers, playing with the ports on the receiver , changing the cable, using automated driver update programs, windows update and more..)
I just went back to windows 10 and there's no problem. I have no idea why, but windows 11 has a problem with my 3rd party speakers and this laptop. I'll try coming back to windows 11 mid 2025 probably. I don't want to deal with the issue right now.

My gear - New Lenovo LOQ 15 AMD/Intel 4060 laptop. Harman Kardon receiver with big speakers. Never had a problem like this with the speakers before.

    * ended up playing with the drivers so much I was getting blue screens when it was timing out to go to sleep.

    Hi,

I mean i've been using the same speakers on my full pc for the past 9 years. They do make that single pop sound when either starting the computer or resuming from sleep but this is something else..

    A. I think I have an audio jack to USB adapter, I can try. But I don't want the audio taking up another USB port. I'm USB starved anyway.
    B. I'll install windows 10 again, as a side operating system. I don't remember that being a problem in the few days I used 10.

EDIT - Ok i think I fixed it. I'll test it for another day and post what I did. Thank you.
