Windows 11 unusually longer login times

Hey there,

Logging into the PC was fairly quick a few months back but has become slow after changing a few settings.

I found out that it is still quick If I log in with a different new profile but still slow with the old one. I read on Reddit that I would have to

transfer all the account data to the new one to solve it. Is there any other way around this? How can I fix it?

Clean boot does fix the issue, but how can I determine the exact background service or program interfering?

so that I could disable or remove only that specific service.

    Hi SANGANNAGARI,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Slow login times on Windows 11 can be caused by various factors, and while creating a new profile can sometimes resolve the issue, there are other troubleshooting steps you can try before resorting to transferring all account data. Here are some suggestions:

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.

    • Disk Cleanup:
      • Use the built-in Disk Cleanup tool to remove unnecessary files that might be affecting system performance.
      • Press Win + S, type "Disk Cleanup," and select the drive you want to clean.
      • Follow the on-screen instructions to clean up unnecessary files.
    • If after trying these steps the issue persists, creating a new user profile may be a valid solution. However, before doing so, ensure that you've backed up all important data from the old profile. Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support

If the new profile works well, you can gradually move your files and settings to the new profile. Fix a corrupted user profile in Windows - Microsoft Support

I hope this helps.  If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely
