Why isn't windows settings update/quality updates not updating?

If this doesn't work, I would next recommend using the SFC tool to try and repair the issue.

For the repair install you don't need an external drive, then you download the ISO file and open it, then mounts as like a virtual disk drive.

Hello Elise,

This laptop was originally windows 10 with the windows 11 (family) upgrade - oct 2021.

The first 2 steps were performed.

The second step noted problems found and indicated corrected (possibly something else was fixed than this issue)

The 3rd step I am unable to perform as it is not clear in the windows 10 youtu.be video how to acquire the .iso file and if required this laptop has no external drives.

Do you perhaps have a better instruction for acquiring the .iso file? This drive has plenty of space.

Ultimately the quality updates are still not working.

I was hoping to avoid a fresh install and perhaps losing some important app/files.

But if this is the only option left it has to be done.
