2024-02-29T19:43:59+00:00 Yeah I'm trying to open in file explorer. I tried Open With > Edge, but get the same access denied message. I tried using Adobe Acrobat, same message about permissions.
we did the dsc chk already, didn't help.
Here are those two s shots, I'm going to wait on doing the permission issue test until I have someone more knowledgeable to help me. Should just be a few hours until help arrives!

2024-02-29T11:16:25+00:00 Hello ,
Good to see you in Microsoft Community.
How did you open this page in the browser, by double-clicking the PDF file in File Explorer or through another application? Because theoretically, the files in this directory are related to account configurations. These files were migrated from an old account, and indeed, they cannot be opened in the same way under the new account.
If the file was opened indirectly through another app, you may need to clean up the original file and re-download the file in the app before viewing it.
However, you can navigate to the folder where the PDF file is located using the following steps, view the PDF file in File Explorer, and try right-clicking > Open with > Microsoft Edge browser. If it cannot be opened, please right-click the file > Properties, and attach a screenshot of it in your next reply.
Win + R to open Run window, type
%userprofile%\Documents\3 CUSTOMERS\3 KITS\Tommy\Docs\into it and press Enter to open the folder.
This issue could be caused by a permission issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Right-click on the folder where the doc and pdf files are located and select "Properties".
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Click on "Edit" and then "Add".
- Type in your new user profile name and click "Check Names".
- Click "OK" and then select your new user profile from the list of users and groups.
- Check the "Full Control" box under "Allow" and click "OK".
- Click "Apply" and then "OK".
If this doesn't work, you can try running a disk check to see if there are any errors on your hard drive. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open File Explorer and right-click on the drive you want to check.
- Select "Properties" and then click on the "Tools" tab.
- Click on "Check" under "Error checking".
- Select "Scan drive" and wait for the scan to complete.
If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
