I just got my laptop and I can't remember my pin

    Hi Loretta,

    If you're not signed in, look for the "I forgot my PIN" option below the PIN entry field and follow the prompts. If you're already signed in, navigate to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, and under PIN (Windows Hello), you'll find the option to reset your PIN. Just make sure you're connected to the internet, and you'll be able to set up a new PIN in no time.

    If you see I forgot my PIN, select it and follow the instructions to reset your PIN. If there are multiple accounts on the device, choose the one you need to reset.

    If you don't see I forgot my PIN, select Sign-in options and then select Enter your password.

    After you're signed in, select Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > PIN (Windows Hello) > I forgot my PIN and then follow the instructions.

    Note :The PIN you use to access your device is different from your Microsoft account password. If you need to reset your Microsoft account password, go to account.microsoft.com, select Sign in and follow the instructions.
