Hello Jonathan Ndayiragije
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Hello Jonathan, it sounds like your laptop is experiencing a significant issue that's preventing it from restarting properly. This could be due to a number of reasons, such as software corruption, hardware failure, or a problematic update. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:
- Force Shutdown and Restart:
- Hold down the power button for about 10 seconds until the laptop turns off.
- Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to turn it back on.
- See if this allows the laptop to start up normally.
- Access Safe Mode:
- Restart your laptop and press the F8 key (or Shift + F8 or just F11, depending on the make and model of your laptop) repeatedly as it starts up.
- This should bring you to the Advanced Boot Options menu, where you can select "Safe Mode".
- If you can access Safe Mode, you can perform further diagnostics, uninstall recent updates, or restore your system to a previous point.
If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Best Regards
