Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Its actually really easy. all you have to do, is press the windows icon, search microsoft edge, then open the file location. now, msedge is a shortcut, so right click the shortcut, and open the file location again. before you delete msedge, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open task manager. find microsoft edge, and end the task by clicking the "end task" button. then, go back to the folder, do Ctrl + A, and click Ctrl + Delete. you may need to give administrator permissions to delete it, do so if you need to. then, go to the recycle bin. then delete msedge! its that easy! (no tools required, just through file explorer and task manager.)
(THIS WORKS FOR WINDOWS 10 AS WELL.)

i have found out that this is a TEMPORARY REMOVAL, somehow Microsoft edge managed to reinstall itself after a month or two. so, to solve this, make sure you check once every couple of weeks to make sure that its stays uninstalled. if it is reinstalled, please do the tutorial that i have showed above. also, with task manager, when you attempt to close it, it might come up with ether a blank icon or a .exe blank icon. just search it with the search bar in task manager.
