    Hello AndrésTed

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

you can change the icon for PDF files in Windows 11. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Download a New Icon: First, you need an icon file (.ico) that you want to use for your PDF files. You can download one from the internet or create your own.
    2. Open File Explorer: Navigate to any PDF file on your computer.
    3. Change the Default Program (if necessary):
      1. If you want the icon change to affect only PDFs opened by a specific program, make sure that program is set as the default for opening PDFs.
      2. Right-click on a PDF file, select Open with > Choose another app, select the desired application, and check the box that says Always use this app to open .pdf files.
    4. Access the Properties: Right-click on a PDF file and select Properties.
    5. Change the Icon:
      1. In the Properties window, go to the Shortcut tab. (If there's no Shortcut tab, this method won’t work, and you might need to change the icon through the default program’s settings or use a third-party file association manager.)
      2. Click on Change Icon, browse to the location of your new icon file, select it, and click OK.
    6. You can change the icon of the application that opens the PDF to see if the PDF icon changes.
    7. There are some third-party software that can change the icon. You can try using third-party software.

If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards
