Recycle bin permanently deleting files even if option not selected.

When I drag an item to the recycle bin, I am asked (I selected the option) if I want it permanently deleted. I checked the properties of the bin and for the local disk, I selected 'Custom size' instead of 'Don't move files to Recycle bin. Remove file immediately when deleted' so this shouldn't be happening.

The settings seem right so I don't understand why it doesn't behave accordingly.

Any suggestions, please?

    Hi Jiyas,

    Thank you for your reply.

It is from my laptop itself, Local Disk (C), no USB drive or anything. I recycle normally from Google Drive but not from the local disk of my pc.

That is why I don't understand as the settings for both are the same but they behave differently.

    Thanks

    Hi PaolaCC

Thanks for reaching out! My name is Jiyas. I'll be glad to help you today.

Can you please tell me, from where did you delete the files from?

Removable drives, such as USB flash drives and memory cards, will not have a Recycle Bin. Files deleted from removable drives are permanently deleted.
