Is it a Lenovo by any chance?

If it is, you will need another device to go to their website and download the Wi-Fi drive for the laptop.

the old version of the generic driver should help your situation. Try using your smartphone to download the drive and send it to your PC and update it.

or provide the manufacturer and serial number of the device we will look for.

But I'm sure the Windows 7 Wi-Fi driver works

Find another working computer and an available USB flash drive. I recommend visiting your manufacturer's support page. Download and install the latest Network and Wireless drivers for your device. Save it to a USB flash drive and transfer it to your computer. Run and install the Network and Wireless drivers.
