Black crosshair following my mouse

I do not know how, but when I was typing, I pressed some combination of buttons, and this strange black crosshair is following my mouse. I have tried power toys and it does not work. The only assistance I can give is I was trying to press Ctrl+I to italicize.

From your profile I see that you are registered to insider program. Do you have Dev or Canary channel build 26058 or 26063 installed? That crosshair is new feature introduces in build 26058?

I just have the same issue, but I can't find a solution to this, I hope somebody will get an idea to solve the problem.

I tried Power tools, erase Logi+ software, reset mouse configuration, re install mouse driver, but not luck. I also think that the problem was typing some keys combination

To reset the associated registry key, enable that option in Powertoys, then restart your PC and disable that setting.

If that does not solve this, uninstall Powertoys temporarily and restart (not shut down) your PC to see if that removes the crosshairs.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

I understand you have checked PowerToys, but that crosshairs is almost always created by PowerToys.

Try pressing Ctrl + Alt + P to turn that off

Or go to the Mouse Utilities section in PowerToys, in there you should be able to disable the 'Mouse Pointer Crosshairs' option.
