The steps to add trusted software (also known as whitelisting) in Windows Defender are as follows:
Open the Windows Defender Security Centre: You can open it by clicking on the Windows Defender antivirus icon in the taskbar or by searching for "Windows Defender Security Centre" in the Start menu.
Select "Virus and Threat Protection": In the Windows Defender Security Centre, select the "Virus and Threat Protection" tab.

Select Add Easy anti-cheat: In the pop-up window, browse and select Easy anti-cheat to add the application to the list of trusted software. After selecting the application, click "Open".
If you are using other third-party protection software, you will need to add it yourself.
- Try to enable clean boot:
Try to enable clean boot as follows
- Tap Windows+R and type msconfig.
- Open System Configuration and select General tab - Selective Boot.
- Remove the tick from Load Startup Items.
- Go to the Services tab - click Hide all microsoft services in the bottom left corner, and then click Disable all (except Easy anti-cheat programme).
- Click OK and restart your computer. (Be sure to select Hide all Microsoft services first and then click Disable all, otherwise it may lead to unforeseen problems such as not being able to access the system.)
See if the problem still recurs.
NOTE: Clean boot is a way to start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if background programs are interfering with your games or programs and to help you figure out the cause of the problem. It will help you get back on track.
Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
